This disrupted my schedule; but I said yes. I then tried to set it up so a mutual friend would be inside the haunt to assault her. Evil, yes, I know.
Which brings me to my question: At what point do you put your plans aside to accommodate a fledgling fear junkie? You never know if they will be able to make it through the haunt, and if not, do you leave with them? I was lucky; she was a real trooper and enjoyed the evening. We were even able to hit a 2nd haunt and meet up with the Carnival of Twilight folks in Silverdale.
Going through with fellow haunters puts a different spin on things. You start dialogs with scare actors, prompting them for better results. We discussed lighting, sounds FX’s and props while holding up traffic to take a closer look. Some of us even started acting like scare actors while conversing with the resident creatures. It is all too easy to get caught up in the wickedness.
