We found one ride themed into Black Widow’s Caverns with creatures pouncing, fog, spiders and disturbing sounds. Take heed though, you will get wet. Several of the other rides are operating, but not themed.
There were 4 Scare Zones with effects & beings to stumble upon; Underworld Alley, Witch Doctor Trail, Dead Man’s Cove & The Gauntlet. Be sure to look for the Pirate in Dead Man’s cove for a wicked treat!
The nightly shows included Fangs, a Vampire Dance Review, Haunted Hypnosis, Bang-Primevil Percussion (that ROCKED) and Shocking sideshow of Freaks.
The haunted mazes included Club Blood (with Vampire Go-go Dancers); Werewolf Canyon (Team Jacob!); Slaughter house (vegetarians not allowed), Toy Factory (the most annoying/effective music); CornStalkers (run faster, I hear banjo music!) and CarnEvil 3D clown maze.
You can get tickets online 2 for $54.99 and there is a Boo-ffet prior to opening for $13.00. So for a jam-packed night of adventures & dreads California Great America’s Halloween Haunt is a perfect choice.
