With a storm brewing, I sailed over to Lake Stevens to investigate Carleton Farms Haunted Swamp. The winds were still mild, just enough to rustle the corn stalks and mask the noise of those that lurked within. The pathway was well traveled and lit just enough to make our way while still concealing the inhabitants until they bushwhacked us. Their soft tones & haunting lyrics played well with the eeriness of the corn field. The swamp monster was perfect, as was the witch that made me pick a door. The use of led’s and minimal strobes was refreshing and added to the sinister ambiance. This, being a working cornfield, is wet and mushy, so wear proper shoes and enjoy the show.
